Letter: Vote Patty Acomb for District 44B State Representative

To the Editor:

I am really impressed with Patty Acomb, who is running for State Representative in 44B (Minnetonka, Woodland and southern Plymouth). It is rare that a new candidate for MN State Representative has as much experience in our community and local government.

​

She grew up here, moved away for a short time and, like most who do, had to come home. She has been on the Minnetonka City Council for six years, the Minnetonka Park Board for nine and serves on the Minnehaha Creek Watershed District.

 

Her career is in natural resources and she has brought that expertise to her community by, among other things, spearheading solar energy to benefit the environment and the pocketbook. She also champions first-class schools (she and her sons are Hopkins alums) and affordable health care and housing.

​

Patty sees government working for us to help make a better life for our families while sustaining our beautiful lake community.

 

I think that’s just the kind of person we need to represent us in St. Paul.
