To the Editor:
Politics today often gets in the way of good governing. Patty Acomb has shown that she can bring people together to get things done, and is the clear choice to be our next state representative for House District 44B.
As a former mayor of Minnetonka, I know that residents expect a collaborative and nonpartisan approach to accomplishing the important work of the city. Patty currently has served almost seven years as an at-large Minnetonka City Council member, leading with proven experience and effectively bringing together people of all political persuasions. That is also demonstrated by the fact that local residents and leaders who identify as both Republicans and Democrats are supporting and endorsing her campaign.
Patty is a long-term resident of the area and has been an active community member, serving government, local schools, environmental organizations and nonprofits. She also has the experience of representing our local perspectives at the regional, state and national levels. Patty is a unique candidate, and I know she will represent us well in St. Paul.
Please join with me in voting for Patty Acomb on Nov. 6.
