Letter: Vote Patty Acomb for state representative

October 8, 2018                                                                                                                               Link to story

To the Editor:

There are many different reasons why people choose to become public servants. Some individuals were influenced by personal experiences or inspired by others. Patty Acomb is running to be our next state representative because she cares deeply about our community and its citizens, wants to protect our great quality of life and environment and make a positive difference in society.

Patty has repeatedly demonstrated those essential priorities by serving on the Minnetonka City Council and Park Board. She has represented Minnetonka at nonprofit organizations, such as ResourceWest and the Minnetonka Rotary Club, and in environmental organizations such as the Minnehaha Creek Watershed District and Bassett Creek Watershed Management Commission. In addition, Patty was a member in the Hopkins School District’s School & Communities in Partnership Collaborative. Furthermore, she continues to represent her community’s interests on policy committees at regional, state and national levels.

Patty is the right candidate at the right time with the right background to address critical issues such as environmental protection, education and health care as our next representative in the Minnesota Legislature in House District 44B.
